This is my four year old in a back carry in both. You can see he is too big for the Gemini but still fits in the Soleil really well.

He prefers the Soleil. And surprisingly, it is easy to carry him like this. You know those times you take the kids somewhere and they all suddenly refuse to walk? Both carriers can criss cross in the back or be worn over each shoulder with the strap in the middle. The Pastor loves crossed straps. I do not like wearing my kids facing out. The Pastor likes wearing the kids facing out. So, he prefers the Gemini and I prefer the Soleil.

You can see with a smaller baby, the hips are in the correct position facing out. Hips and knees bent. As they get bigger, not so much. Which does not stop The Pastor from forward facing them from time to time.

And this is why every adult in the family needs a baby carrier! And with a wagon and two baby carriers, we can get all 5 tired souls to the car after a long zoo trip. Love it! A friend just offered to let me buy her Soleil and this has definitely helped my decision making process!

You definitely need the Soleil over the Gemini with those chubby toddler legs you carry around! The pouch on the Soleil is on the waistband, but thanks for the info!

Love you guys for this wonderful review with cute babies. We are having a baby this May and am gearing up for the baby environment setup. I was confused with the gemini and soleil.. The latter is what i need. I have the first generation Gemini, but the Soleil straps are more padded and a little wider because of that, but otherwise the same.

Hi, The main difference between butterfly and gemini is that butterfly can be use for bigger baby. If I am not wrong, butterfly is till 45 lbs while gemini is 35lbs. Gemini has more ways of carrying and can allow baby to be carried front facing.

Among Ergo, Beco butterfly and gemini, only gemini can be used for front facing. I chose the gemini as my curious baby needs to face the front most of the time. If interested pls email me at nfk22 singnet. Hi, Interested in Beco Butterfly 2. Please call me at Hi, I am selling both butterfly 2 and gemini.

PM me if you are interested :0 Thanks. Hi, Anyone selling the Beco gemini? I'm keen pls pm me, tks. Last edited: Feb 23, Any mummy has Beco Gemini to let go, pls contact me at littlemiffy94 yahoo. Hi mummies, Still looking for Beco Gemini, anyone? Pls pm me. Thank you. I bought a Manduca and till this day, I'm still using it!

It's an absolute necessity when going out with my child alone and a great buy. I can take the bus and go places without having to lug around a stroller which my child will not sit in for long. She's now 16 months and still enjoys the Manduca too.

I've seen friends using the Ergo as well as the Beco and after comparisons, even THEY agree the Ergo and Manduca are a better purchase than the Beco in terms of function and price. The Ergo is probably the cheapest of the 3 and closest in features to the Manduca but what I like about the Manduca is that there's a zip extension for when your child gets older and taller and needs a higher back support.
